October Favourites

I think I’m more nervous writing this post than any other so far… Why? Because I’m not rambling on about myself! Damn!

I was so keen to write a more relaxed and laid back post about a few things I’ve loved during October. So that’s what I’ve done, I have taken notes over the past few weeks of all the things I’ve been loving and sharing these with you.

First I have to mention GBBO (Great British Bake Off), this will always be a favourite for me however I was nervous this series wouldn’t be the same without Mezza Berry, Mel and Sue, but they did it, it was a huge success and I have to admit I shed a tear or two over the final..

Next is a new find for me. I know I’m late to the game with this but I have officially fallen in love with Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula . If I’m honest I’m crap at daily moisturising, but this has changed the game for me. It smells so incredible and makes your skin feel so soft, my favourite thing to do before going to bed is to lather my whole body in this before going to sleep. My skin has never felt so soft!

My next favourite is a festive find, Woodwick Fireside Candle , this has to be the best smelling candle I have ever come across. What I love the most about this is it crackles whilst it burns to give the effect of a log burning fire, reminding me of Christmas day snuggled up by the fire with family, releasing calming scents of amber and musk. Is there any better feeling? I think not.

Next up is a book I have only just started to read but already loving. The book is called You Are a Badass by Jen Sincero. Although I am only a few pages in, I have heard so many great things about it. It has the power to completely change peoples mindset and view on life. I thought now more than ever would be a brilliant time to read a book about empowerment and self help. Definitely worth a read if your in need of some no bullshit motivation!

This is a common blogger favourite I’m sure but this is a staple in my makeup bag Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation : this foundation gives medium-full coverage whilst still appearing light and silky on the skin. I never feel ‘cakey’ whilst wearing this, other products blend beautifully on top and it photographs well. Yes it is a higher costing foundation but definitely worth the price tag as it lasts forever!

You’ll notice a heavy feature in my photos are my little plants.. I am OBSESSED. Real or fake whenever I see these in the supermarkets or florists I have to get one. I have a small collection of about 5, they add such a fresh touch to a room! I’m in the process of re-decorating my bedroom and I am keen to grow my collection!

Another classic beauty favourite is my beloved MAC Prep And Prime Fix + Spray I live by this product. Not only does it hold my makeup all day, I use it as a primer before putting foundation on and I even spritz my face before going to bed. It has the power to make you feel so refreshed as well as brilliant setting powers. I even swear by this to cure a hangover.. few sprays once you’ve crawled out of bed and you can feel yourself coming back to life! Don’t knock it ’til you try it!

Next up is a TK Maxx discovery, I have recently found my love for this store but find myself spending far too much money on things I definitely don’t need! However, my favourite find are the Ekel Facemasks. I couldn’t find a link for these as they are Korean, but they are always in TK Maxx and sell for about £1.99, BARGAIN! Recently my skin has been playing up; I think due to stress and long work hours but these are a game changer! There is nothing nicer than a long candle lit bath with a sheet mask on! I wake up feeling refreshed and my blemishes remarkably cleared!

My final favourite is a random one but so so important to me. If you live locally to Wiltshire/Somerset I highly recommend checking out Innov8 Fitness , this is a gym located just outside of Frome in Somerset. They run group training classes focusing on improving each individuals health and fitness. If you think you can slack during these classes, you are so wrong. The trainers are there every step of the way motivating and encouraging you to push on. These classes combine multiple training methods to improve your overall fitness. I try to attend 1-2 classes a week and find myself unable to walk after every session. Exercise is so important in our everyday lives and these classes are standout to any other local classes.

There you have it! A collection of totally random and absurd favourites. I hope you enjoyed reading this more relaxed post. Until next time, M
